The second major takeaway is that doctors will overall be better for all patients. This is a very key thing to have because after all the patient's life is in the doctors hands. Not only that, but the doctor will be more prepared and confident in their decisions they make leaving no room for hesitation.

I believe AI can be used as a huge asset in the medical field. Its versatility of being able to provide immediate feedback to providing a doctor with a treatment plan is a gamechanger.

The first major takeaway of this topic is that AI has incredible technological powers. Its ability to give medical students a system for them to practice diagnosing patients is second to none. It's incredible.

In the future, I see AI being used every day in the medical field. I also see patient health outcomes improving tremendously.

AI has systems or simulators in which it will give the medical students a "patient" and they can then practice giving a diagnosis to said patient. The AI then gives the patient a score of how well they did diagnosing the patient.Vitands, Brianna. “Artificial Intelligence Behind Improved Clinical Skills Assessment and Teaching.” Medical School, https://med.umn.edu/news/artificial-intelligence-behind-improved-clinical-skills-assessment-and-teaching. AI can serve as a second opinion for patient diagnosis if doctors are unsure of their original decision in diagnosis. So, it can serve as a back up or a "checker" for doctors when they are in a questionable situation.“An AI-based second opinion service could improve clinical decision-making today.” STAT News, 3 May 2024, https://www.statnews.com/2024/05/03/ai-based-second-opinion-service/. Not only does AI work as a second opinion but it also offers up treatment plans for patients that doctors need help with. With reasoning AI will guide doctors with this new plan.“An AI-based second opinion service could improve clinical decision-making today.” STAT News, 3 May 2024, https://www.statnews.com/2024/05/03/ai-based-second-opinion-service/. AI systems provide "virtual patients" to allow medical students to practice and gain confidence for when they perform real procedures on patients. GutGPT is a program in which medical students are starting to practice with.Martin, Rachel. “How Can Artificial Intelligence Advance Medical Education and Research to Transform Patient Care?” Yale School of Medicine, 11 June 2024, https://medicine.yale.edu/news-article/artificial-intelligence-medical-education-research-patient-care/. AI is incredibly fast in the sense that immediate feedback and responses are given to medical students when they practice. It uses natural language processing in order to accomplish this.Vitands, Brianna. “Artificial Intelligence Behind Improved Clinical Skills Assessment and Teaching.” Medical School, https://med.umn.edu/news/artificial-intelligence-behind-improved-clinical-skills-assessment-and-teaching. One of the most important things AI does is improves doctor's notes during patient visits. This is very essential because in order for everything to go smoothly and comfortably, the doctor and patient need to have a good relationship.“Artificial Intelligence Feedback on Physician Notes Improves Patient Care.” NYU Langone Health, 17 April 2024, https://nyulangone.org/news/artificial-intelligence-feedback-physician-notes-improves-patient-care. The only downside of AI is that it unfortunately is not always right and accurate.
