The society
The Celts were a diverse group of tribes in ancient Europe, known for their rich culture and complex social structure. Their society was typically organized into clans or tribes, each led by a chieftain. The Celts valued kinship and loyalty, fostering strong internal ties. The Celts interacted with the Romans, Greeks, and Germanic tribes, sharing and exchanging goods, ideas, and cultural practices, which enriched their own traditions while also adapting to external influences.

The story of the Celts is a rich and fascinating tale of culture, conquest, and resilience. Originating in Central Europe around 1200 BCE, the Celts spread across much of Europe, reaching as far as the British Isles, Spain, and Anatolia. Despite their cultural richness, the Celts faced challenges from expanding empires. The Roman conquest of Gaul and Britain eroded much of their territory, but Celtic traditions persisted in the fringes of Europe, especially in Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. These regions preserved myths and languages, such as Irish Gaelic and Welsh, ensuring the Celtic legacy lives on.
