What are the goals and benefits of the Nurse Residency Program?
* Retention of new graduate nurse within the first year
* Make the transition from advanced beginner towards competent nurse
* Increase confidence, nursing skill, leadership, and professionalism
* Develop effective decision-making skills related to clinical judgement and safety in the healthcare environment
* Strengthen commitment to the profession of nursing
* Incorporate evidence-based practice to inform decision making at the point of care
* Evidence-based practice (EBP) projects are highly valued and help improve nursing practice
