The Beasts of Monster Hunter

Smaller Monsters

Elder Dragons

Dalamadur lives high in the peaks of the Heavenly Mountains that surround Cathar Village. Its numerous hook-like spines may help it navigate the treacherous terrain, as they may provide a more secure grip than it could generate with its claws and body alone. Local rumors suggest that the falling debris that is common in the Heavenly Mountains is the result of Dalamadur's burrowing. It is not known if Dalamadur travels to other areas.

Dah'ren Mohran is a large, whale-like dragon that is covered in armor plating. Unlike its relative, Jhen Mohran, its body is jagged and sharp, with spine-like protrusions on the forelegs and back. In addition, Dah'ren Mohran's face features a single gigantic, knife-like horn that extends several meters from its head rather than the pair of horn-like tusks found on Jhen Mohran.

Deviljho is a nomadic monster, prone to wandering vast distances in search of prey. Its status as a super-predator allows it to overtake the territory of any monster that stands in its path. Because of its extreme metabolism and equally extreme need for sustenance to survive, Deviljho is always in search of food sources, and will attempt to kill and eat anything on sight. It is known to be cannibalistic and is also prone to eating prey alive in order to waste as little time as possible in replenishing its energy.

Gore Magala are highly aggressive monsters that will brutally attack nearly anything they encounter. However, they are also quite intelligent, as they can sometimes play dead to escape dangerous situations, and have been observed to hold grudges against individuals who injure them or drive them off. They are especially aggressive when it is almost time for them to molt into Shagaru Magala.

Seltas is predatory in nature, both large and powerful enough to prey on both hunters and small monsters alike. He is known to attack from the skies and use his weaponized forelimbs to attack. In addition, he is commonly known to attach himself to his massive female partner and transport her with his powerful wings. When he is forced to merge with Seltas Queen, he will struggle at first to escape. But when the merge has been completed, he will fight alongside Seltas Queen without question as if hypnotized. He won't even fight back when being eaten by his mate, indicating that Seltas Queen has full control of Seltas.

Nerscylla physically resembles a real life Arachnid, but is much larger in size. Its body is mainly white, with dark blue and gray markings around its joints and orange hairs on its appendages and abdomen. Its front claws are a bright orange, whereas its other claws are a dark brown.Nerscylla is armed with four powerful legs and two claws, each one tipped with a formidable barbed hook, used for holding prey as well as allowing it to grip onto many types of surfaces. At the tip of its abdomen is a large stinger it may use to attack. Sharp spikes formed from crystalized poison protrude from its back, as well as barbed spikes on its legs which it uses to keep Gypceros hides draped over its back. In addition, it possesses a massive pair of retractable jaws and fangs which can inflict a venomous bite. It can produce a strong, sticky webbing that it uses to trap prey and build nests.
