¿whO WERE the THREE wise men?

In Spain you have to write letters and we leave them in the mailboxes of the town hall or somewhere else. They take them to the Three Wise Men, who on January 6th, come to each house to leave gifts. In some houses the children leave cookies, milk, water, coffee and in some other houses the children leave a large barrel of water for the camels because they travel from far. Their names are Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar.
