OVERVIEW
Get ready for Knowledge Checkpoint #2. In this lesson, you will review the parts of the brain, and you will show what you know through readings, discussions, and games. You will need the brain cutouts or something to draw with to make a model of the brain.
Click on the icons to explore the parts of the brain.
The regions of the brain are the cerebrum, cerebellum, and brainstem.
The largest region of the brain in the cerebrum. It is divided into a left hemisphere and a right hemisphere.
The hemispheres are connected by a bundle of nerve fibers called the corpus callosum. The corpus callosum enables the two hemispheres to communicate and integrate activity.
On the next slide, you will see parts of the brain. Can you place the pieces in the correct arrangement?
