Nature

- The Great Bear Rainforest : wilderness animals as grizzlies are protected by this sanctuary. It is called the Khutzeymateen Grizzly Bear Sanctuary. You can watch these cute little bear. - The Rocky Mountains or Rockies are a major mountain range and the largest mountain system in North America. They stretch 3,000 miles. It is made up of Mount Elbert (4,401 meters above sea level), and Mount Robson (3,954 meters) and also Sangre de Cristo Mountains, the Front Range,... In winter you can skiing and in summer you can hiking. - As Niagara Falls, Kinuseo Falls is a waterfall. The Kinuseo Falls in BC are taller than the other one. Impressive I know ! We often think the otherwise ! - Alaska Highway : here you can see amazing aurora boreals . It is a peaceful and pristine place where you forget all of your problems.

Culture

This province got all of the qualities that every province wants (food, cities, nature,landscapes,mindset, sport) but we must also think about the History. In BC, the importance of the past is remembered by the museums, to the visitors ! These museums are talking about the Indigenous culture. BC is a multicultural and a incluse province.

British Columbia

British Columbia or BC is a Western Province of Canada located between the Pacific Ocean and the Rocky Mountains. It is the third most populated province with 5,2 million residents and the third largest province in Canada. BC is also a multicultural territory. The first indigenous inhabitants settled along the coasts and in the valleys of British Columbia beetween 6000 and 8000 years ago. The region has been discovered in 1775 by the Spanish explorer Juan Francisco de la Bodega y Quadra. In 1848, British settled the northtern part of Vancouver island and the Current mainland British Columbia (and after this part takes the name of Queen Victoria) whereas the southern part of the District of Columbia or the territory of Oregon, was colonised by the United States .

- Vancouver: the most populated city in the province with 2,6 million residents. The city is considered the most peaceful and multicultural in Canada. Here you can watch the whales. It is a booming city with a lot of high building and impressive monuments. (picture above) - Victoria : capital of BC. It is located at the southern part of Vancouver Island. In this city, there are a lot of gardens (The Butchart Gardens) and a lot of attraction (Malahat SkyWalk) ! -Richmond : Here you can try differents specialities like Asian foods ( in a Chinese village ; the Golden Village) or visit an International Buddhist Temple modelled after Beijing’s Forbidden City.
