She always arrives by bicycle and organizes group hikes on weekends.

Expert in organization and team management, always focused on improving efficiency and achieving optimal results. She is passionate about hiking, where she enjoys the beauty of nature, and also has a great interest in landscape photography. She has completed the Camino de Santiago three times, which has allowed her not only to enjoy a spiritual journey but also to capture moments and stunning views along the way.

Dr Rachael Cubberley

Rachael is Head of School for Allied Health and Social Care. Rachael is a trained Physiotherapist. Before working in academia, Rachael ran her own private physiotherapy practice specialising in musculoskeletal injuries. She is also a Governor for Cambridge University Hospital

She organizes writing contests and always has salsa music playing.

Efficient and solution-oriented, she always stays one step ahead in organizing tasks and projects. She is passionate about creative writing, where she can express her imagination and emotions, and she also enjoys dancing. She has published several short stories that have been well received and, in addition, she dances salsa in an amateur company, where she shares her love for music and movement.

Dr Laura Adley

Head of School for Nursing, Faculty of Health, Medicine and Social Care. Laura is a registered children’s nurse with a clinical background in children’s oncology and teenage and young adult cancer. Laura has recently completed her professional doctorate which looked at Student Nurses Mental Health in Clinical Practice.

Dr Robert Priharjo

Robert is a Senior Lecturer and course leader for MSc Clinical Nursing in the School of Nursing. Robert has taught in the UK, Canada and Indonesia. Currently, Robert leads a Going Global Partnership project (TNE Nurse UKIND) in collaboration with Universitas Gadjah Mada, funded by British Council Indonesia.

Dr Melanie Bird

Melanie is Director of Student Experience and Outcomes across the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Social Care. Melanie is a Registered Nurse (adult) with a clinical background in care of the elderly and stroke management and rehabilitation. Melanie is also a Principal Fellow of Advance HE.

Patience Bamisaye

Patience is Faculty lead for Race equality and course leader for International Nursing Studies. Patience has been an international student at ARU and published a book on her experiences. She has more than 15 years' clinical nursing experience and speaks six languages: English, Mambilla, Hausa, Fulani, Yoruba and French.

He organizes chess games and shares chapters of his novel for feedback.

He is a creative and very resourceful person, always in search of effective solutions for any challenge that arises. Additionally, he greatly enjoys chess and science fiction, two passions that accompany him in his daily life. He has managed to win several chess tournaments, demonstrating his skill in the game, and is currently working on writing a science fiction novel that promises to be very interesting.

SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER
Start the day with yoga and bring homemade desserts to the team.

Create innovative and effective campaigns that truly stand out for their unique and original creativity. Additionally, she has a deep passion for painting and practices yoga regularly. She has had the opportunity to exhibit her work in various local galleries, which has enriched her artistic experience, and she is also a certified yoga instructor, sharing her knowledge and love for this discipline with others.

Lucía Pérez

MARKETING MANAGER
She brings experimental culinary creations and organizes cycling outings on weekends.

Innovative and efficient, she is always looking to improve both the processes and the products she uses. Additionally, she has a great passion for mountain biking and enjoys exploring new recipes in experimental cooking. She actively participates in various mountain biking competitions, where she tests her skills and has fun at the same time.

Sophia White

HEAD OF PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
Shares interesting data in meetings and organizes photography exhibitions in the office.

Interprets large volumes of information with remarkable precision and clarity, allowing them to understand and analyze complex data effectively. Additionally, they deeply enjoy photography, capturing unique moments, and also immerse themselves in reading historical novels, exploring different eras and cultures. Throughout their career, they have held several photography exhibitions, showcasing their talent and passion for visual art.

Amanda Jackson

DATA ANALYST
He brings his dog on Fridays and organizes volunteer events.

He is an empathetic person with exceptional interpersonal skills, allowing him to create a very positive and collaborative work environment. Additionally, he enjoys rock climbing in his free time and also engages in volunteer work. He has had the opportunity to climb some iconic mountains and, to top it off, he works at animal shelters, reflecting his great love for living beings.

HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER
Arjun Patel

We are very lucky to have Arjun as our Student Experience Manager for the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Social Care. He oversees both Chelmsford and Cambridge campuses, roughly 9000 + students (and counting!). Arjun loves working alongside students to make sure their student journey is successful- and fun along the way. Arjun is an avid Manchester United fan (sadly suffering as a fan at the moment), enjoys going to the gym and travelling around the UK and abroad!

Dr Nebil Achour

Nebil is the Course Leader in MSc Healthcare Management and Associate Professor in Disaster Mitigation. Nebil has over 20 years experience working in the disaster mitigation field. He always uses this experience in his classes which all his students love. He has published over 50 scientific articles and reports, and was a member of the global WHO Hospital Safety Index revision panel.

Dr Nicky Milner

Nicky is Deputy Dean for Education in the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Social Care. Nicky is a registered biomedical scientist with a medical microbiology background. Her research interests are antibiotic resistance and enhancing student engagement for success.
