Ecco Firenze, la vostra nuova città! Firenze è in Toscana, nel centro-nord Italia. Non è una città molto grande: è possibile andare da una parte all’altra del centro storico senza problemi, a piedi o in bicicletta. Ha circa 400.000 (quattrocentomila) abitanti, ma durante l’anno ci sono moltissimi turisti e studenti universitari che camminano per le sue strade e per le sue piazze: Santa Croce, Piazza della Signoria, Piazza Duomo. Sono molto belli anche i quartieri dell’Oltrarno: San Niccolò, Santo Spirito e San Frediano.Firenze è una città famosa per i monumenti e le opere d’arte: il Duomo, il campanile di Giotto, Ponte Vecchio e Palazzo Pitti con il Giardino di Boboli, il David di Michelangelo e i quadri di Botticelli, come La Venere e La Primavera. Firenze non è solo la città dell’arte, ma anche della moda, della musica e della buona cucina. Via de’ Tornabuoni è la strada della moda, con le vetrine di Armani, Gucci e Valentino, dove è bello, ma costoso, fare shopping. Vicino al fiume Arno, c’è il Teatro dell’Opera di Firenze dove è possibile andare a vedere un balletto o un’opera lirica. Firenze è conosciuta anche per la sua cucina tipica: la bistecca alla fiorentina e le crespelle sono tra le specialità più amate. Se avete fame, andate a mangiare in una trattoria tipica o al mercato di San Lorenzo, dove è possibile anche fare la spesa.
