Educational Curriculum Paridigm Shift
The outdated, skill-based structure of the current K-12 curriculum leaves many students unprepared for college and career demands (Hungerford-Kresser et al., 2022). High school graduates need critical thinking and problem-solving skills for college courses. The lack thereof leads to struggles with comprehension and completion. As a result, many students must pay for additional remedial classes, increasing their overall college expenses (Hungerford-Kresser et al., 2022). These deficits also hinder students’ ability to enter the workforce or secure internships and apprenticeships in technology-driven fields. Addressing these gaps through the teaching of problem-solving and critical thinking skills, rather than the current skill-based structure, will prepare students for future careers and college (Hungerford-Kresser et al., 2022).

We are in the era of the digital information explosion. This causes our way of obtaining information to have changed, we have transitioned from traditional reading to a cognitive strategy based on navigation.
Our brain is biologically prepared to learn through visual content. Almost 50% of our brain is involved in processing visual stimuli.
College REady (Gunn et al., 2020)
