Emma is baking cookies and needs to make enough for her whole class. Her recipe calls for the following ingredients: 2 cups of flour 1 cup of sugar ½ cup of butter 1 tablespoon of baking powder 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract Emma wants to double the recipe so she has enough for everyone. Help Emma figure out how much of each ingredient she will need. How many cups of flour does Emma need if she doubles the recipe? How many cups of sugar will she need? If 1 tablespoon is equal to 3 teaspoons, how many teaspoons of baking powder will she need for the doubled recipe? If ½ cup of butter is needed in the original recipe, how many tablespoons would Emma need if she doubles the butter amount? (Hint: 1 cup = 16 tablespoons)
