The influence of social media in teens' eating habits

Social media has a significant impact on adolescents' eating behavior, influencing their choices and attitudes towards food.

  • Consumption of large amounts of food in a short time, often without hunger
  • It usually brings feelings of guilt and loss of control
  • It can be triggered by emotional, environmental or biological factors
  • It may lead to phyisical health issues and emotional problems

  • It usually causes low energy, obsessive behaviors, self-harm and depression
  • May arise due to genetics, stress and ideals promoted by social media

  • Sneak large quantities of food, followed by the induction of vomiting
  • It usually cause dehydration, deterioration of the teeth, digestive problems, anxiety, depression and others
  • Excessive preoccupation with body, weight and what people think about them. It is a constant fear of gaining weight and feeling unable to control eating behavior
