Guru Nanak was born on the 15th of April of 1469 and he died in 1539 in Punjab.He is famous because he was an Indian spiritual teahcer who was thw first Guru of all the Sikhism

Believe in one god Ik Onkar

Ik Onkar means "There is only one God." Sikhism teaches the oneness of God, who is beyond human comprehension but is omnipresent, formless (Nirgun), and eternal.God is both transcendent and immanent, meaning that while God is beyond the physical world, God is also present within it and within each individual.

Guru Granth Sahib

Sikhs consider the Guru Granth Sahib, the holy scripture of Sikhism, as the eternal Guru. It is a collection of hymns (Gurbani) and writings from Sikh Gurus, Hindu saints, and Muslim saints.The Guru Granth Sahib is central to Sikh worship, and it is treated with the utmost respect. Sikhs believe it contains the divine wisdom and teachings necessary for spiritual guidance.

Sikhism recognizes Ten Gurus, who were spiritual leaders and teachers. The first Guru, Guru Nanak (1469-1539), laid the foundations of Sikhism, and the tenth Guru, Guru Gobind Singh, established the Khalsa (the community of initiated Sikhs) and declared that after him, the Guru would be the Guru Granth Sahib.

The Five Ks are symbols of the Sikh identity and the outward expression of one's commitment to the Sikh faith. They are worn by initiated Sikhs (those who have undergone the Amrit ceremony) and are as follows:

The khalsa

The Khalsa was established by Guru Gobind Singh in 1699 as a community of committed Sikhs who adhere to a strict code of conduct. Those who join the Khalsa through the Amrit initiation ceremony pledge to uphold Sikh values, wear the Five Ks, and live a disciplined life of spiritual practice and service to humanity.The Khalsa is considered the collective body of Sikhs, and it represents the ideal of Sikhism: a community committed to justice, equality, and the defense of the oppressed.

Rencarnition and Liberation

Sikhs believe in the cycle of reincarnation (samsara) and that one's actions (karma) in this life determine their circumstances in future lives.
