Teenage gangs have become more popular in many communities as young people look for a sense of protection and family; however, many don't find what they seek so much, bringing brutal consequences for themselves and for the whole community in general.
Why do teens join gangs?
- Money, feeling of power and a family/protection; - Feel isolated or rejected; - Adventure and testing limits.
The rise of gangs
Dysfunctional families may lead to teens seeking the fake warmth of a gang.
Family structure
Many young people in poverty look for financial security using easy but dangerous aid of gangs
Poverty
Teens seek the promissed success and fame by gangs, not knowing the risks.
Lack of oppurtunity
By seeing other gang members showing off their wealth, they fall in ilusion.
