In his childhood and adolescence, he was affected by numerous factors, from the fact that his father abused him to seeing war crime photographs shown to him by his cousin Miguel, who played an important role in Richard’s development.
BEGINNING OF HIS CRIMINAL LIFE
Richard Ramirez began his criminal career in the late 1970s, initially committing petty thefts and minor offenses. However, his first recorded murder occurred on June 28, 1984, when he killed Jennie Vincow, a 79-year-old woman, in her apartment in Los Angeles.
The media dubbed Ramirez "The Night Stalker," and his case received widespread coverage on television and in the press, heightening public panic.
Capture and Trial.
Ultimately, a fingerprint found on a stolen car led investigators to identify him. On November 7, 1989, Richard Ramirez was sentenced to death. The judge in the case described him as "the embodiment of human cruelty."
