The United States (U.S. or US), officially the United States of America (U.S.A. or USA) ,is a country located in North America.

The Federal District is Washington D.C. (District of Columbia), the capital of the USA.

It consists of 50 states and a federal district.

It's about 4,830 km from the east to the west coast.

It has the 3rd largest population in the world.

It's the 3rd biggest country in the world.

The USA is an enormous country.

It's a country of great climate contrast: there is an arctic climate in Alaska and a subtropical climate in Florida

From New York to San Francisco, there are 4 time zones.

It consists of 50 states, 48 contiguous states and 2 non contiguous ones (Alaska and Hawaii)

It borders Canada in the north and Mexico in the south.

The Atlantic Ocean borders the east coast, while the Pacific Ocean, borders the west coast.
