Maria loures Pintasilgo

In 1979, Maria de Lourdes Pintasilgo became the first female Prime Minister of Portugal. Her government focused on economic modernization, social well-being and political stability. However, in 1980, she faced opposition and political instability, which led to the end of her term. Despite her short time in office, she continues to be a significant figure in Portuguese history.

Althrough not holding a formal role in Portugal's government, she remained a key figure in political and social discussions.
