• A family with a passion for aviation

• Gratuated in machanical enginiering in 1951

• Served as a fighter pilot in the US Airforce during the Korean war
• He receives the Distinguished Flying Cross (prostigious military honor)

WHO IS HE ?

• Joined NASA in 1963
• First space mission : Gemini 12 in 1966
• July 1969 : join Neil Armstrong and Michael Collins on Apollo 11 mission (historical first moon landing)
• Aldrin wolked on the moon 19 minutes after Armstrong
• authored several books (Return to Earth - 1973 and Mission to Mars - 2013)
