Milly thinks that if her dad finds out that she told someone, his behaviour would get worse and she or her mum could get hurt.
Milly doesn’t want to leave the family home. All her toys and clothes are there. The family dog, Joe, is her only friend and she would never want to be away from him.
Milly is worried that if her parents split up, her sister Jade might prefer to live with dad, and so they might not see each other.
She does not want to be forced to live with her dad or have any contact with him if her parents split up. Milly's biggest fear is being homeless and living on the streets.
Milly is worried that she could be taken into care if she said anything about her dad and then she won’t be able to protect her mum.
Milly is concerned that no one will believe her. Her dad has already told people that she tells lies.
