Jake feels sick and gets tummy aches because he is anxious about going to nursery

Jake appears more withdrawn and uncomfortable around strangers. He gets separation anxiety when Sasha is not there

Jake can pick up on Sasha's emotions and wants to soothe her when she is upset, the way that she soothes him when he is upset. This is a learnt behaviour

Jake has seen his dad lash out on Sasha and is replicating this. This is a learnt behaviour

Nursery used to be Jake's safe place. Now that he is seeing his dad there, it no longer seems safe and this is causing him stress

Jake now associates nursery with his dad and starts to become anxious and clingy whenever he has to go there

Why does Jake behave in this way?
