FÉRIA
Féria of carmona dates back to 1466, when Enrique IV of castile granted the city of carmona. Nowadays, the May fair is no longer a livestock fair. This year it started on the 15th Wednesday and finished on the 19th Sunday after the fireworks.
NOVENA
The novena of carmona is a religious celebration, it lasts nine days, it is made in september specifically from september 1 to 9, normally special masses are celebrated, also meals to honor and demonstrate the love and respect towards the virgin of the remedies.
PILGRIMAGE
The pilgrimage in Carmona is known for demonstrating love and loyalty to the Christian religion. People are elegantly dressed and on horseback, creating a joyful celebration.
Carnival
Carnival is a celebration that takes place before Lent, with variable dates between February and March, and includes costumes, songs, parades and street parties, with an atmosphere of permissiveness and lack of control.
SEMANA SANTA
Holy Week is one of the most important festivities in Carmona.
It lasts a period of seven days, from “Palm Sunday” to “Resurrection Sunday” in which the so-called “Brotherhoods” go out at least one every day, of these there are eight San Blas, San Felipe, San Francisco....
In them the so called “Brothers” dress as “Nazarenos” or “Costaleros” these last ones go under the so called “Pasos” where they fit from 50 to 70 costaleros that move the “Pasos”.
