RULES OF THE DROP-BY-DROP GAME
DROP-BY-DROP GAME ACTIVITY
A Snakes and Ladders style game, which helps to understand the stages of the natural and urban water cycles, promoting responsible habits. Have the students ever played the game of Snakes and Ladders? What rules do they know? In this game, it will be a water droplet that accompanies them on the journey of the water. Before playing, it’s a good idea to go over the drawings in each of the squares. The board has 30 squares, with coloured borders depending on whether the water is in the natural cycle (green) or in the urban cycle (blue if it is drinkable or brown if it is dirty); there are jumping drops, bridges, pipes and installations such as a reservoir, a spring, a reservoir, a water purifier and a sewage treatment plant.
INSTRUCTIONS
Up to 4 people or 4 groups can play; once the dice is rolled, they will move the chips of the animal they have chosen. All the numbers of the squares, have a window associated. They click on the number and there is a test that they have to solve. Once solved, they can throw the dice again or freely agree on other types of incentives. In some special squares, the instruction to move forward - or not - appears. The water cycle has no end; so, whoever gets to the end, starts again or joins another group to move forward collaboratively.
