As a teacher, it is your duty to support various learning practices. The learning theory I believe to be the most effective is the cognitive learning theory. This theory looks at the way people think. Mental processes are an important part in understanding how we learn. The cognitive theory understands that learners can be influenced by both internal and external elements. (wgu.edu)
Authority Style: Teacher considers his students as objects of influence and not equal partners in the activity. This strategy is used more often in college like settings and is not as affective with younger children. Facilitator Style: Faciliate and stimulate the learning process by creating appropriate intellectual and emotional environment in the classroom. This style promotes self learning for students. Students can solve problems through exploration. This style shows confidence in students and their abilities. Delegator Style: Often used for group work and activities. Teacher is often the observer. Students have independence and freedom of choice. Hybrid Style: Combination of different technologies into one learning approach. This teaching style helps to create community amongst the classroom.
Different Teaching Styles:
1. Self Assesing and Self Grading: This strategy gives students an opportunity to learn from their mistakes. 2. Peer Reviews: This strategy gives students the ability to bounce ideas off their classmates and learn from them, as opposed to a teacher. 3. Benchmarks: This strategy gives students an idea of where they need to improve and lets them focus on that area during class time.
Three strategies to encourage students to monitor their work:
1. Group Projects\Group Work. 2. Reflective Writing 3.Interactive Activities and Classroom games. (Kahoot, Quizlet, etc)
Three strategies to encorporate collaboration in your classroom!

Students learn in three main modalities, in person, virtual and hybrid. The three have some similarities, but are also unique in their own ways. In person: A traditional form of education, with students and teachers interacting face to face. This style is great for students who need hands on attention from their instructor. Virtual: A teaching method that uses digital technology. This model offers students more flexibility and gives them more freedom as students. Hybrid: Combines both in person learning and online learning. This model gives students the best of both worlds and offers both styles of learning.
Utilizing differentiated instruction: This allows each student to learn the same material, but in a different way then their classmates. Promoting a positive and welcoming classroom environment: Allows students to feel safe and comfortable while in class. Students should not be afraid to ask quesitons or make mistakes. Engaging in group work: When working in groups, it ensures that all students are learning and participating in the lesson (hmhcoo.org).
It is extremely important as educators that all students are learning, no matter how different their skills and development are. A few ways to ensure that this happens:
ENSURING ALL STUDENTS ARE LEARNING
