  • El Caribe está formado por aproximadamente 60 islas, arrecifes y cuevas
  • Más del 25% de estas islas está habitado por el hombre
  • Se clasifica en tres grupos mayores de islas
  • Jamaica tiene la mayor superficie de las islas
  • Bahamas tiene la mayor cantidad de islas
  • No hay una variedad de idiomas hablados en las islas caribeñas
  • También es conocido como las "Indias Occidentales"
