When designing an HCI, it's important to consider hardware aspects such as display type and size, memory, and processing power.

Different display types and sizes affect how users interact with an HCI:

+ info

LCD Displays: Generally consume moderate power. They use a backlight, which can be energy-efficient but still requires a constant power supply.

LED Displays: More energy-efficient than traditional LCDs, as they use LED backlighting, reducing power use. LEDs generate their own backlight which means that a backlight does not have to be built into the device. The colour representation and contrast is not as good as other display types. An LED display uses very little power.

Memory directly impacts the performance of a system. A system with enough memory can handle complex tasks and multiple applications easily, leading to a smoother and more enjoyable user experience. However, limited memory can result in slow load times, frequent crashes, and overall poor performance, negatively impacting user satisfaction.

Processor speed significantly influences the system's ability to process information and execute tasks. A faster processor allows for quicker response times and smoother multitasking. This directly impacts the system's performance, user experience, and the types of applications it can support.
