BRITISH MUSIC

The Beatles were born in Liverpool in 1960. Their international success has left an indelible mark in history, influencing all young people regarding fashion and music. A star in the Hollywood ''Walk of fame'' is also dedicated to them . Their music didn't have a specific genre, in fact they tried various genres including: rock and roll, pop, baroque pop and making mixes that were all original for the time. They greatly influenced music and fashion and made 13 albums. The band was made up of John Lennon, Paul McCartny, George Harrison and Ringo Star. First, in 1957, they were called the Quarryman, then in 1960 they transformed into the Beatles and their style also changed. The group got an audition for the EMI record company and recorded Love me do. In 1970 the group broke up due to chemistry problems between the members of the group and fans hoped for a reunion. In 1980 a boy shot five shots at John Lennon killing him, and in 2001 George Harrison died.

Pink Floyd was formed in 1965 in London initially under the name The Thea Set. The members of the group are: Syd Barret, Roger Waters, Nick Mason, Richard Wright and Bob Klose. The name Pink Floyd was suggested by Syd Barret, who took it by combining the names of two blues musicians, Pink Anderson and Floyd Council. Pink Floyd broke up due to personal egos and tensions accumulated over the years.

Queen was formed in 1971 and the members were: Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon. Brian May and Roger Taylor were part of ''Smile'', a band that did not achieve success. Freddie Mercury, friend of the members, he suggested they change their style and image. When Smile broke up, Freddie joined May and Taylor to form Queen. Then John Deacon also joined. In 1987 Freddie Mercury was diagnosed with AIDS. Despite his illness he continued to work, but in 1991 Freddie died. After Freddie's death, Queen released Made in Heaven. May and Taylor continued to play while Deacon retired from music.
