Question preparation
Prepare specific questions related to the position and skills required. Favor open-ended questions; the answer should not be a simple yes or no. (Ex: What has been your greatest success in terms of a customer project?)
Standard questions
Scenarios and case studies
Include scenarios during the interview for role-playing. (Ex: To assess real motivation for a position ask the candidate if 3 companies call to tell him he's been chosen for the job, what will he base his choice on?)A case study is included in each recruitment process to assess practical skills and problem-solving.
Specific questions
Prepare a list of standard questions for all candidates to enable a fair comparison. (Availability / Compensation / Motivations)
Preparing the assessment grid
An interview grid is a structured tool used during an interview, it is used to guide the interviewer by providing a set of questions and topics to cover. This ensures that all important points are covered consistently and uniformly with each interviewee. In short, the interview grid is an essential methodological support to guarantee the quality and efficiency of your future interviews. -> methodology in part 2 of this training course !
