Liverpool is in the northwest of England, in the Merseyside area, near the coast of the Irish Sea.
HiSTORY
Liverpool was founded in 1207 by King John of England to create a strategic port for connections with Ireland. It stayed a small town until the 1600s, when it began to grow as an important port for sea trade.
