workspace layouts

  • What are workspace layouts? There are so many things you can do in Blender, that it can become overwhelming. Layouts help you focus on specific tasks and minimize the tools you don't need to see. Many digital applications have similar features (such as Photoshop, Premiere, and After Effects)

Modeling

  • In the modeling workspace, you can modify the geometry of objects using modeling tools.

Sculpting

  • This workspace lets you use sculpting tools to modify meshes.

UV Editing

  • This workspace, or screen, is for the mapping of image texture coordinates to 3D surfaces.

Texture Painting

  • This screen is for coloring image textures in the 3D Viewport. (Stay tuned to learn about the 3D Viewport.)

Shading

  • Here, in this workspace, you can specify material properties for rendering.

Animation

  • This screen is used to make actors and other objects move about and change shapes or color.

Rendering

  • In this workspace, or screen, you can view or analyze your rendering results.

compositing

  • This screen is used to combine different parts of a scene (background, actors, special effects) and filter them.

Let's head over to Edio for this one... (pg. 3)
