What ESD can cause?
Friction: When two dissimilar materials come into contact and are then separated, electrons can transfer from one material to another, creating an imbalance of charge. For example, walking across a carpet can generate static electricity in a person's body.Contact: Direct contact between conductive materials can allow for charge transfer. When an object with a different potential comes into contact with a charged object, electrons can move between them. Separation: The process of separating two objects that are charged can lead to a discharge as the electrical potential equalizes.
