Activity 1:

This activity will help you to understand the different career pathways available to you, to see if any of them excite you.
  • You will go to different stations around your centre, based on different industries.
  • You will look at different job roles at each station and complete a short task.

  • Did this help you consider potential careers that align with your own passions or talents?

Activity 2:

This activity explores different skills that you might have, and considers what careers might be appropriate for these skills.
  • You will have 10 minutes to find as many QR codes as possible, containing different skills.
  • To earn that skill, you must complete a short task and show the results to your tutor.
  • Then, you should brainstorm what careers could fit your new skill set.

  • Were you surprised at any of the jobs that came to mind for your skills?
  • What can you do to identify and improve your core skills today, to make yourself attractive to a potential employer?

  • You will be allocated a job role, along with details of what you desire in a candidate.
  • You will draft some interview questions to try to get your interviewee to display some of these skills, experience or attributes.
  • You will interview your tutor and decide whether or not to offer them their dream job!
