When Biden renounced, he supported the candidacy of Harris who was his vice president. Than she was elected in the new convention. Kamala Harris is the second woman to be nominated, the first woman to be of African American descent and the first Indo-American.

Democrats

Harris was elected on 21 july

1. Reference to the attack he had suffered a couple of days before 2. He told the people to be optimistic and to listen to his promises (abolish inflation and solve wars through a call) 3. In the years when he wasn’t there, America became worse than before 4. Reference to Biden 5. “It’s time to change because they cannot live with this administration”

Donald Trump

On 23th December, Colorado declared that Trump wasn't elegible in the primaries of the state, but they posticipated it to the appeal. On 4th March the Supreme Court of the United States of America declared that Colorado couldn't decide it and that Trump was elegible

He won against 400 candidates. Many of them, like usually happens, failed because they couldn't formally candidate their self.

Republicans

Trump won the primaries on 12th March 2024

The national convention held in chicago arranged for Kamala Harris to give a public speech in which she accepted the nomination. Kamala Harris gave a speech to the people starting with a praise for America and telling how it got to this point. She later explained how she came to do this job by describing one of her slogans, "kamala for the people", since prosecutors have the job of protecting the population, so throughout her life she has only had one client, namely the population.
