What are we working on? Unit 3 starts on Monday! In this unit, students will learn about and use the terms unit rate, speed, and percent and recognize that equivalent ratios have equal unit rates. Students will represent percentages using tables, tape diagrams, double number line diagrams, and expressions. Students will use these terms and representations to explain situations involving unit price, constant speed, and measurement conversion. This unit has two quizzes and a unit test. What are we working on? On Monday, we will have our quiz about machines. Please continue to use the resources on the class padlet to prepare for this quiz. Our next unit will be Observing and Exploring SPACE! Please remember to do the edio lesson on Wednesday, 11/13 and 11/15 because Mrs. Robinson will not be in class. Shoutout to the students who complete the edio lessons with complete sentences and using their own voice and creativity!

What are we learning? In reading, we are starting our first novel of the school year - A Mango Shaped Space. Check your box of supplies and let Mrs. Annis know ASAP if you do not have it. There is a copy provided in the edio lessons as well. We will continue to discuss the new prefixes and suffixes in word work, and point of view in writing. Shout out to all the learners for working hard to complete TWO graded assignments this week!

What are we learning?
