Drug use during adolescence can have a significant and multifaceted impact on young people's lives, affecting physical, psychological, social and academic aspects.
To share a social experience or feel part of a social group
To relieve stress
To seek new experiences and take risks
To relieve symptoms of mental health disorders (ex: depression, anxiety)

There are other factors such as low self-estime, lack of parental control and various mental disorders that can lead to drug use. The attitudes and example that parents set regarding the use of alcohol, tobacco or prescriped drugs and other substances are also major influences.

Teenagers' brains are still developing, and drug use can interfire with this process, potentially impairing memory, learning and cognitive functions.

Drug use can harm family relationships and friendships.
Academic impacts
Drug use can affect concentration, motivation and learning capacity, leading to lower academic performance, frequent absenteeism and, in some cases, dropping out of school.
It is important that preventing drug use starts early and involves both education about the risks and the development of social and emotional skills. Effective interventions may include:

In our opinion, the impact of drug use in adolescence is a serious problem that requires a comprehensive and integrated approach of prevention and treatment.
Promoting awareness and appropriate support such as sports that generate endorfines(fell good drug) in their bodies and will prevent the need for other faul use of drugs'
