¿Qué es un mapa conceptual?

Los mapas conceptuales son ampliamente aplicados en diversas técnicas de estudio y son reconocidos por su capacidad de síntesis

esquemas que representan gráficamente los vínculos y la jerarquía que hay entre las ideas más relevantes de un tema

Se confeccionan utilizando conceptos (o frases breves) y uniones o enlaces.

Muestran facilmente la estructura de un tema

Características de un mapa conceptual

CONCEPTOS

COLABORACION

• Representa visualmente la jerarquía de los conceptos. La información se organiza desde los conceptos más generales hacia los más particulares.
• Se puede leer. Al unir los conceptos y las palabras de enlace, se forman proposiciones que permiten definir un concepto con otros.
• Permite graficar conexiones cruzadas. Las líneas y las flechas no solo relacionan los conceptos jerárquicamente, sino que también muestran cómo un subconcepto puede vincularse con otro que pertenece a una categoría distinta.
• Sirve como material de estudio o exposiciones. Se utiliza como soporte para sintetizar o resumir textos, teorías o proyectos.
• Fomenta el aprendizaje significativo. Permite partir de información ya conocida para agregar nueva.
• Promueve el aprendizaje colaborativo. Cuando un mapa conceptual se utiliza como soporte en una clase o una reunión empresarial o institucional, se fomenta la colaboración entre los individuos.

Mapa conceptual jerárquico

El concepto general se coloca en la parte superior y central del diagrama. Los conceptos subordinados se desprenden hacia abajo según su relevancia o jerarquía

Mapa conceptual sistémico

De cada concepto, se pueden desprender distintos niveles de conceptos subordinados. Es muy frecuente que aparezcan conexiones cruzadas entre los conceptos

Mapa conceptual de araña

El concepto general se coloca en el centro del diagrama. Los conceptos subordinados se desprenden en todas las direcciones, es decir, hacia arriba, abajo, izquierda y derecha

Mapa conceptual secuencial o de flujo

os conceptos se ubican uno después de otro, para representar que un concepto se desprende de otro de manera asociativa y progresiva, y no por su jerarquía

¿Cómo hacer un mapa conceptual?

REPRESENTAR

Se anotan los conceptos, encasillándolos en óvalos, recuadros o cualquier forma que permita visualizarlos mejor y comprender la jerarquía

Identificar. Se realiza una pregunta que plantee un problema o un posible abordaje para el tema.

Seleccionar. Una vez delimitado el enfoque del tema o el texto a estudiar, se escriben los conceptos más importantes en una lista
