Fractions are numbers that represent part of a whole. Fractions have two numbers: the numerator and the denominator. The numerator is the number on the top of a fraction that shows the number of parts that are selected or present. The denominator is the number on the bottom of a fraction that shows the total number of parts into which the whole piece is divided.

Mathematical relationship between fraction and percentages

Remove the percent sign. Divide the number by 100

Write 100 as the denominator

Fraction = Percent ÷ 100
