Where do Relationships Begin?
Think of those you have a good relationship with (family member, favorite cashier, first crush). Put each of them in one of the columns based on how the relationships started. Ask yourself: Did your relationships with [name a person] come from something you needed or wanted? List as many people as you possibly can in the time allotted.

(No wrong answers here...)
Any observations from that activity? Did you notice anything about your relationships or the ways they start?

Mission: Money for Jerusalem
Over the course of his missionary journeys, the apostle Paul encouraged the churches he started to give offerings that would be sent to the church in Jerusalem. He did this in several cities and likely through multiple campaigns.

1 Corinthians 16:1–4
Now about the collection for the Lord’s people: Do what I told the Galatian churches to do. On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with your income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will have to be made. Then, when I arrive, I will give letters of introduction to the men you approve and send them with your gift to Jerusalem. If it seems advisable for me to go also, they will accompany me.
Paul raised money from Gentiles for Jerusalem to unite the early church.
+ INFO
While there was certainly difficulty in Jerusalem (famine, poverty, etc.) Paul's primary goal in collecting this offering was to create a bond between the Jewish Christians and the Gentile Christians.
