AVOIR is an irregular verb.

This means it will not follow a set pattern like the regular -er verbs do.
Irregular verbs are a one of a kind and follow a pattern that no other French verb follow.

avoir - to have

nous vous ils elles

je tu il elle

j'ai tu as il a elle a

nous avons vous avez ils ont elles ont

Even though AVOIR is an irregular verb, you still list the subject pronouns and then the verb forms.

j'ai tu as il a elle a

There will be liaison between the plural subject pronouns and the verb forms.(a Z sound)
