Bank of seeds
IndexPrework Information Photos Experience
How was it carried out?
We arrived at the seeds bank and we were walking around the plantations and then we stopped at different points along the route so that they could explain to us what they did there and how it worked.
Why is it relevant in the proyect?
Because it teaches us the importance of having reserves of all types of plants in case one becomes extinct, because plants are very important in the environment and this is a very necessary space for biodiversity and food.
What have we learnt by carrying out the activity?
We learned how they carry out the collection of seeds of different kinds to plant and store them, so that in case of possible disappearance of any of them, we always have a reserve so as not to become extinct.
Why did we do this activity?
Because it was important that we knew how they worked and what they did there, in addition to the fact that in the same place they taught us about other matters such as capercaillies and the importance of taking care of plants and preserving them since they are essential in the environment.
What is a bank of seeds?
A bank of seeds is a deposit to protect a copy of each seed existing in the gene banks of all countries to be replicated in case of disappearance due to natural disasters or war conflicts.

Experience
This activity in our opinion was very interesting, since we could see how they worked and how important what they did was, apart from the fact that the site was surrounded by nature, was in the middle of the mountains and the views were very beautiful
