- Combs, brushes, scissors must be clean
- Set up trolley,

INTRODUCTIONS
- Introduce yourself with a smile
- Bore da, or Croeso I am Nicola and I will be your stylist today
- Treat your client as an important person - Giving your full attention to their needs
- Address the client by their status and name, eg Mr/Ms/Mrs Jones, etc.
- Do not become over familiar with a client and never address a client by ‘Love’, ‘Darling’, etc

- Be a good listener
- Clients do not want to hear your
problems.
- Be non- judgemental and never advise a client on their personal life
- Keeping professional

- Maintain client confidentiality - never discuss other clients
- Do not betray a client’s confidence.

- You will then guide them back to the reception desk
- You will wait with them untill the receptionists are ready to take their bill
- You will tell the receptionist what service the client had
- You leave them by saying
- 'Thank you for letting me do your hair today' or It was lovely to meet you, Goodbye'
Tips
- You are allowed to accept tips
- Small amounts of cash from clients
- After a service has been performed
- If they offer a tip its because they are happy and want to give you a tip.
- Just accept with grace
- 'your very kind, Thank you'
- Do Not come into the salon showing off
