Academic presure
- Overwhelming stress we feel to meet certain standards and achieve academic excellence.
- Many of us fear that if we get bad grades, we’ll lose our chance at a dream job.
Social pressure
- There’s often a desire to fit in, to be accepted, and to meet the standards set by our peers.
- This can lead us to make choices or act in ways that don’t feel true to ourselves, all because we want to belong.
Relationship pressure
- Refers to the expectations and tensions that can arise in romantic relationships.
- We may feel pressured to act in certain ways, to move at a specific pace, or to meet our partner’s expectations.
Family pressure
- This pressure can come from parents wanting us to excel academically, follow certain career paths, or live up to family traditions and values.
Thanks!
I hope this helps you understand just how common and challenging pressure can be for teenagers today.
