Emerging Interests: UTV: Exploring large-scale implementation. Office Visit Invitation: Opportunity to discuss long-term hire options. Project Focus: Secured a large number of projects for Reading and Aylesbury. A major goal for MML is to ensure full Health and Safety compliance. After encountering a few issues, they’ve started using our machines and are now extremely interested in the Spillards system. With the added support from Dom, our Compliance Manager, this has been a significant benefit to them. Future Goals:Aim to increase work for ACE Plant. Maintain high service levels to solidify MML as a key customer.

Strategic Actions: • On site supervisor Paul has compiled a list of equipment currently on hire there, for us to create a package deal • Current site manager Nick is leaving in December, presenting potential opportunities with his new company. • My aim is to deepen support and target additional sites, starting with those currently using ACE services.

Veolia Overview • Current Year Spend: £34,824.59 • Site Coverage: 14 locations across the UK according to Syrinx Key Contacts: • Regular discussions with Paul, the site foreman at Linghall, regarding UTV hire.

Pricing has been a major topic of discussion for ACE Plant this year. Companies such as O’Brien Contractors, AMT, Breheny, TKL, and NDG Technology have indicated that our prices are too high. Excavators have been frequently cited as overpriced. For instance, our spot hire rate for an 8T excavator is £455, while GAP offers it at £393.75. Additionally, we receive calls from cold callers asking for prices. If we continue with spot hire prices, are we risking potential hires?

Since I began in January, ACE has lost two key customers: Herriards and Heidelberg at Bulls Lodge Quarry, leading to a total loss of £55,540 (could be more). Heidelberg could have been our largest non-event customer, but this was not the case due to service-related issues. I reached out to Cameron at Bulls Lodge Quarry, but he is currently unwilling to meet and discuss his concerns. My objective is to work closely with the service department to ensure we prevent similar losses in the future. On a positive note, we are already seeing improvements being implemented.

Website and Marketing Improvements Buckingham Plant Hire and ACE Plant need to revamp their websites. Customers have previously contacted me about Buckingham Plant equipment that we no longer offer. In contrast, ACE Plant is missing key equipment listings, such as our new tower lights, electric UTVs, golf buggies, and GPS storage huts. The current websites look outdated and require updates to reflect our new branding. We also need a new ACE Plant brochure to showcase our offerings when visiting clients on-site. Many customers are unaware that we provide certain equipment, which happens too often. Additionally, a dedicated section for Buckingham Plant Hire in the brochure would be beneficial, highlighting the equipment we offer. While we've started using social media, it presents a great opportunity to promote the company at no cost. I've received a few inquiries through these channels. Moreover, many companies engage in social events like sponsored walks, and it would be fantastic for us to organize similar initiatives. These events are excellent for team building, boosting morale, and supporting charitable causes. Although ACE and Buckingham Plant operate separately, we are gradually beginning to collaborate. I believe that implementing team-building exercises would enhance our teamwork and communication, fostering a culture of mutual support between the two companies. This improved collaboration would ultimately enhance our service, strengthen customer relationships, and lead to increased hires and revenue.

My Ideas

What you see above is a new Excel spreadsheet containing all of ACE Plant's customers, including their site locations and contact information. My goal is to meet with as many of these contacts as possible to build relationships and ultimately increase revenue.

I need to dedicate time to learning about equipment I'm less familiar with, so I can respond to questions with greater knowledge. Additionally, I aim to become more independent by conducting my own research rather than relying on others. I hope that as time progresses, my confidence will continue to increase.

Starting from scratch may not seem like an option now, but it can lead to success.

I am committed to becoming a more effective sales and key account manager and am already enrolled in several courses to support my development. I aim to be an asset to our company by assisting in various areas. I have already drove a machine on several sites and I need to gain experience at the hire desks so I can provide assistance whenever necessary.
