THE SOURCE
The TEMPEST is the last great play by William Shakespeare. Probably written between 1610 and 1611, the play was first performed in 1611 at Whitehall Palace in London, the sovereign's residence at that time. The TEMPEST is part of the group of romances, that is, love stories, adventures and magic that always have a happy ending, composed by Shakespeare at the end of his career. We do not know for sure what the sources were when the writer composed the work, he was probably inspired by various narratives and readings, in particular the stories of trips to the New World, very popular at that time.
THE PLOT
The tempest consists of five acts. The story takes place over a few hours and begins with a storm and the shipwreck of a ship on an enchanted island. On the shipwrecked ship, are Alonso, king of Naples, his son Ferdinando, Antonio Duca of Milan and the members of their court. The tempest was caused by the magician Prospero, who lives on the island with his daughter Miranda. Prospero tells her that he is the legitimate Duke of Milan, but twelve years earlier, wanting to dedicate himself to magic and philosophy, he entrusted his kingdom to his brother Antonio, who, driven by ambition, plotted with Alonso, the king of Naples, and usurped his throne. .
8. Development
Prospero and Miranda, at the time a three-year-old girl, were forced to get on a boat that, driven by winds and storms, landed on a mysterious island in the Mediterranean. The island was inhabited by a monstrous creature, Calibano, son of the deceased African witch Sicorace, and by Ariel, the spirit of the air, victim of a Sicorace spell that had imprisoned him in the cavity of a pine tree, from which Prospero will free him.The years go by and Miranda, now grown up, has become a beautiful girl, but she has never seen a human being apart from her father. Prospero continued to cultivate his magic studies and in the meantime he became a powerful magician to whom all the creatures of the island obey. Prospero manages to predict the arrival of his brother Antonio aboard a ship returning from the marriage of Clarabella, the daughter of the king of Naples, with a Carthaginian king. He knows that his enemies are on board, in addition to Antonio, there are also Alonso, his brother Sebastiano and his son Ferdinando.

Visual content is a universal, transversal language, like music. We are able to understand images from millions of years ago, even from other cultures. We don't like to bore. We don't want to be repetitive. Communicating in the same way is boring and doesn't captivate. We do it differently. We sabotage boredom. We create what the brain likes to consume because it stimulates it.
