What is genially?
Genially is an easy to use tool that allows users to easily create powerpoints, interactive training, and slideshows while including captivating animations, pictures, videos and music!
How to create an account:
Simply click the 'sign up' button - You will be prompted to select on the following options. - Pick whichever one best suits you! - Proceed to enter your email, or sign up with Gmail!
Free to use... unless...
While this app ofers a ton of free to use features, you can upgrade to one of the two options they have availible. They even offer team plans for use in groups as well as a Student plan which offers these amazing services at a discounted price.

Available templates
This app offers multiple different templates for any scenario.
- Games and challeges for fun interactive learning game creation
- Quizzes and survereys to create fun to read questionaires
- Presentations for infomation layouts
Templates Contiuned! - Coures for school schedules, study guides etc. - Interactive info graphics - Video templates for any occasion - Digital publishing for reports brocheures etc. - Team templates for custom group work!!
To start select your template:
- Find a template suited best for you
- Select the template most appealing
- Hover over that template
- Click on 'View Template' option
To start your template
- Review details to ensure it meets needs
- Select color palette
- Ensure this template is covered by your respective plan. I.e if you are using the free version ensure its a free template!
How to add text
- Go to your sidebar options
- Click the option that says "text"
- It'll give you multiple options of what kind of text you want, whether its a title, subititle, and etc.
- Once you have selected an option a text box will appear on your slide
- Above your slide, there will be options to change the font, size, and other things
Uploading IMages
- Go to the sidebar options and youll have two options to insert your image
- You can either use images that genially already offers or you can use your own
- Once you select your image you can resize it to fit your slide
- You can also remove or add backgrounds to your images
Interactive Elements
- Go to the sidebar options and select the interactive elements
- Depending on what you're wanting there will be several options
- Explore Interactive templates: start by selecting a template that includes built-in interactive features
- Embed multimedia: intergrate videos, audio clips, and images
- Create quizzes and surveys: utilize the quiz and survey features to interact with your audience and gather feedback
- Link to other content: connect to other presentations, documents, or resources within your genially project
Collaboration
If you would like to share your presentation with your peers, the process is quite simple. First, direct your attention to the upper right-hand corner of the screen, where you should notice an option specifically designed for sharing. This will allow you to choose whether you want to publicly share it or privately.
How to collaborate:
- To collaborate, select the "collaborators tab in the top right corner
- Then simply enter the emails of the people you're collaborating with!
