EC launched Drive Electric Orlando (DEO) in partnership with Enterprise Rent-a-Car, U.S. Department of Energy Clean Cities Coalitions, the City of Orlando, and local resorts and theme parks, including Walt Disney World. The program provided consumers with extended test drives in EVs to build consumer demand and demonstrate large-scale EV rental car potential.

The EC helps local governments develop comprehensive planning for transportation electrification with a roadmap for Raleigh, followed by similar roadmaps for Boston, Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Climate Mayors EV Purchasing Collaborative was launched in partnership with Climate Mayors and Sourcewell. This fleet transition program helps cities and public agencies shift to EVs.

The EC and SAFE launched the first SAFE Summit to convene leaders in business and government, including the White House’s John Podesta and Sen. Joe Manchin, for critical dialogue on energy security and transportation electrification.
