We are going to watch the short film again, but this time pick one of the characters to focus on (Sully or Mike) You will analyze this character by looking at what the character says and does. Fill out your STEAL chart based on your selected chaaracter.

Read the excerpt for your book and fill in the S.T.E.A.L chart accordingly. You will also answer the following questions:1. How does the character’s culture shape their identity? 2. Who are they versus who everyone else thinks they are? 3. What defines their culture? How do cultural stereotypes impact their dentity? 4. How does the author develop a sense of the character’s identity and the community identity in the passage?
