Did you know?the UN evaluates thay up to 300,000 children are involved in conflicts worldwide. 40% of child soldiers are girls. They are mostly forced into child marriage as brides for fighters.

why do children become child soldiers?

there are many ways for children to become related with armed groups. Some children are ubducted and beaten, others join military groups to escape poverty, to defend their communities, fear, manipulation, lack of education, food requirments, or out of a feeling of revenenge.

A conclusion I can make about children becoming child soldiers is that most of the children become soldiers unwillingly, they get treated very poorly and even if they are freed, an experience like this will definately leave a mark in their life and potentially traumatize them.

columbia-- Columbia has the worlds highest crime levels and approximately 14,000 child soldiers involved in military actions.

Afghanistan-- the Taliban took control of the country in August 2021. Since then, the recuirment of child soldiers significantly increased.

Child soldiers are forced to do terrible things. They are often forced to fight in wars, carry weapons, be a human shield, be used as a suicide bomb, and even kill other people. other roles include working as a guard, spy, messenger, or cook.
