You go back to the gym to find Ms. Turk taking selfies. Ms. Turk: Oh, hey there, my little champions! So, you've made it this far, huh? But before I hand over this key, I need to see some commitment. Let's see your best 'finding-the-trophy' selfie face! She hands you a note that reads: I'm the feeling you get when you come on top, when you finish the race or make the last shot. I'm what you feel when you've done your best, better than all the rest. What am I? Complete the last challenge to figure it out!
The Stolen School Trophy
The day has finally arrived for the big school championship ceremony at Galena Park Middle School. The students and teachers are excited, waiting for Mrs. Nava to make a special announcement. But when shesteps up to the microphone, there’s a worried look on her face.
“Everyone, I have some troubling news,” she says, holding up an empty trophy stand. “Our championship trophy has gone missing! It was supposed to be right here, but someone has taken it. However, I believe that whoever took it left a series of clues around the school. If you can solve all the puzzles and find the trophy before the end of the day, there’s a special reward waiting for you. Who’s up for the challenge?”
You and your friends agree to take on the mission. The first clue is hidden somewhere in the gym with Ms. Turk, and the adventure begins!
Making Connections
You enter the art room and find Mrs. Belza near a canvas with a painting that seems to change colors as you look at it. Mrs. Belza: There’s something hidden in this artwork, but you’ll need to understand how to make text connections to see it. Prove that your a connections champion and I'll help you with the riddle.
Gym Clue - Vocabulary Vortex
You walk into the gym and see Ms. Turk standing inside. Ms. Turk: Hey are you looking for this note. I found it under the bleachers. I don't know who hid the trophy, but I can help you solve the riddle if you can prove that you know your vocabulary. Let's see if you can tackle these word challenges!"
CERCA Challenge
You head to the science lab and find Mr. Moreno holding a note. Mr. Moreno: The key to the next clue is in your ability to argue like a champion. Use your skills of CERCA (Claim, Evidence, Reasoning, Counterclaim, Audience) to solve this next riddle. If you do a good enough job, I might just give you the answer.
Cyberbullying Infographic
