Two or More Independent Clauses joined together by a coordinating conjunction F- for A- and N- nor B- but O- or Y- yet S- so

--One Subject --One Verb -- Complete thought

Complex Sentences

Independent Clause(complete thought) and a Dependent Clause (not a complete thought)

Examples

Simple Sentences: Examples1. Dogs are loyal pets. 2. Tom and Mary walked to the store. 3. The child yelled when she fell down.

Compound Sentences: Examples1. John helped his teacher and he made it to his next class on time. 2. I wanted to go late, but she wanted to go on time. 3. She had to go, so she called her friend to drive her.

Complex Sentences: Examples
