Welcome to Bedtime, an adventure that brings guests to the invention of anesthesia! Guests will first have a small tour led by guides. Guides will share brutal stories of the painful experience of surgery before anesthesia. Then, it's time for the real experience! Guests are invited to "drift off" as they receive anesthesia just like it was administered in the 1800s— drops of liquid anesthetic are applied on a mask that is put on the patient. Rest assured, this is completely safe for guests thanks our science team. Bedtime is a small adventure that was designed to make people appreciate how far technology and medicine has come.

Come and test your aiming skills in Revolver Ranch. Guests will be provided a revolver and will be able to progress through levels of shooting booths, the difficulty increasing as they progress. There will be moving targets throughout the booths, further increasing the difficulty. There will be time limits in each booth, meaning that the guests will not have time to reload and they will have to use the ability of the revolver to shoot 6 shots without reloading. This game will show the significance of the revolver, as they will have to utilize the revolver’s 6 shots to progress through the levels, and expresses the increased efficiency of the revolver.

Welcome to Canal Cake, browse through a collection of 6 cake flavors that are replaced weekly, thanks to the Erie Canal. The Erie Canal allows New York to trade directly with the west for much cheaper prices. Completed in 1825, the canal cuts costs and time, letting farmers transport products farther west while also giving farmers easier access to markets, which allows Canal Cake to connect with the best farmers in the North. Canal Cake donates 5% of all revenue to farmers as a way of saying thank you for their hard work. Canal Cake also offers guests discounts if they have a plow ticket, which is provided to you after beating John Deere in Plow Town.

Each guest will receive an ipad with an app that has an option to build their own rides. It’s exactly how it sounds as guests will have a variety of ride parts to choose from. From a nice and slow ride to the most thrilling and fun rides as humanly possible. Once guests have made their desired ride, guests will be transported to a warehouse where their rides have been built. Enjoy any ride in a matter of minutes which shows the significance of how interchangeable parts speed up the manufacturing process. The choices you make are infinite. The park will hold the best ride contests held every year, where guests’ rides are critiqued and rated by judges. The winner will receive a grand prize of 100,000 tokens and a lifetime pass to use Build-A-Ride anytime of their visit.

Build-A-Ride

Use high tech gear to build a specific ride you want and ride it to your fullest enjoyment

Walk through the glorified textile shop that led the Industrial Revolution in America. Guests will look at the entire textile process during this great era of industrialization. From start to finish guests will look at what used to be a ball of yarn, turned into a beautiful textile in a matter of minutes. Textile Land shows the great contribution by the Lowell Factory System that led to fast and efficient textile production that was an instrumental part for the Industrial Revolution. By the end of the tour guests will have the option to go to a gift shop where the textiles they saw being made are sold and use the tokens they earn from games to spend and buy their wanted textiles.

Textile World

Guests will step onto a ferris wheel that functions as a miniature spinning jenny. Be a part of the mechanical invention of the spinning jenny, where each guest inside the ferris wheel will receive a ball of yarn in which they have to weave their own textiles. Guests will have 10 minutes to weave the biggest textile they can while the actual ferris wheel will begin to weave its own textile. Once done with the ride, guests will stitch all of their hand made textiles together and compare them to the spinning jenny. Most guests lose to the spinning jenny, which shows how self-sufficient the spinning jenny is than hand made work. However, the group that outsizes the spinning jenny will receive 10,000 tokens to spend at the gift shop!

Spinning Days

Guests will be put into four separate rooms with each one having a telegraph and a map to the key that opens a door to a different room. Guests must use the telegraph given to them to communicate with the people in other rooms to find their own matching keys. Once guests group up together after unlocking their own respective rooms, guests will then find a fifth room with another telegraph that is directed towards the warden of the escape room. The warden will send a message using the telegraph the location of a key hidden in the room, and guests will have to find the key in order to escape. The telegraph plays a significant role in how fast you can get out of the escape room. If you use the telegraph it will be faster to communicate rather than send a letter which will take a significant amount of time to communicate with. There will be a leaderboard present with each group’s fastest times. The leader by the end of the day will receive 15,000 tokens as a prize.

Communication Is Key

Enter the new age of agriculture on the Reaper’s ride. In this ride, you will experience using a mechanical reaper, but in a much more exciting way! On the ride, guests will seat themselves in a cart shaped like a mechanical reaper, and a robot horse will pull them across the field. Guests will be able to guide the horse using controls located on the cart, and compete against others to see who is able to harvest the most crops. The cart will work just like a mechanical reaper but more advanced, containing a cutting blade to cut the crops, a reel to bring the grain within reach, and a platform to receive the grain. This ride will show the utility and speed of the mechanical reaper and the effect it had on gathering crops.

Build your own clothes in Cotton Craft! As guests enter, they will be greeted by Eli Whitney, the inventor of the cotton gin. He will explain the long process of separating cotton from seeds before he invented the cotton gin, and explain how the gin works. Guests will then be given a cotton gin, where they will be able to load a specific amount of cotton (depending on the size of the shirt they want) into it and watch it separate the seeds by itself. Then they will be able to watch the cotton be spun and woven to create a shirt. Guests will be able to add dye to make it the color that they want and they will be able to keep the final product. This will demonstrate the quickness of manufacturing clothes after the invention of the cotton gin and how it drastically changed the difficulty of using cotton.

Welcome to Plow Town! Guests will have the opportunity to use the revolutionary steel plow to cultivate the rich soil commonly found in the West. Invented by John Deere in 1837, the steel plow transformed agriculture by cutting through tough prairie soil much easier than cast-iron plows, steel plows also did not break as easily. This breakthrough made farming faster and more efficient. In Plow Town, guests will race against John Deere himself! For a fair competition, John Deere won’t use his steel plow but the older, cast-iron plow used before his invention. Don’t slack off though—John Deere is still an expert and will NOT go easy on guests. If a guest manages to beat John Deere, they can choose from a variety of prizes, and will be provided with the Plow Ticket which can be used for a special discount at Canal Cake. Winners are added to a leaderboard, and anytime a player reaches the top 10, they receive a $100 Amazon Gift Card! Guests will be allowed to take pictures with John Deere after competing against him. A suit will be provided for protection and cleanliness.

Hi there! My name is Francis Cabot Lowell. I am a genius inventor that guided humanity towards greatness. My great intelligence led me to invent the power loom. A device that mechanized a regular loom to weave cloth and tapestry at a faster rate. I integrated my inventions into a factory for textile production. My ideas were based on England’s production of textiles, and now I brought them to the United States! My devotion to the power loom was an important step for the United State’s automate its textile industry.

Welcome to The Journey to Cumber-Land, a thrilling virtual reality experience. Guests will travel 620 miles west from Maryland to Missouri on the Cumberland Road, as it was in the 1800s. Guests will have some control over their path, with choices to go to towns and learn about their history. Guests will also have the choice to trade at towns and will have to manage their hunger and thirst. Guests will be able to interact with other npcs that could be travelling for commerce or to settle in the west. For a riskier ride, choose the "Pre-Cumber" option, a 150 mile journey through rivers, forests, and rugged terrain—just like people did before the Cumberland Road was built. Both modes will have a leaderboard for the safest traveler, a score calculated based on your decisions, and fastest traveler. Prizes will be awarded for the top 10 players of any leaderboard.

Hello, I am Eli Whitney. I am most well known for my invention of the cotton gin, which helped to shape the southern economy as it allowed for cotton seeds to be picked from cotton much quicker. While that is my most well known invention, I have an arguably more important concept that I developed, which was mass production of interchangeable parts. I found that you can use parts of disassembled muskets to create new ones, which allowed me to supply over 10000 muskets to the US government. My contributions overall have heavily benefited the southern economy and introduced an essential idea in manufacturing, which is still used to this day.
